How about taking a cruise to Bermuda to escape the North American winter? Cruising to Bermuda will give you a leisurely relaxing  cruise and the opportunity to visit Bermuda itself. There are plenty of interesting things to do in board the cruise ship. You can join in many of the activities available or relax with a book by the pool. The food is excellent, and there is a choice of evening entertainment.

When you arrive in Bermuda, you can explore the beautiful island, and sample the local stores and restaurants.

Bermuda is an island located in the North Atlantic Ocean roughly 580 nautical miles (1074 kilometers) east-southeast of Cape Hatteras on the Outer Banks of North Carolina and roughly 590 nautical miles (1093 kilometers) southeast of Martha’s Vineyard. It is not, as commonly believed, part of the Caribbean Sea nor is it within the tropics. The subtropical, or temperate, climate is influenced by the Gulf Stream.

Teenagers are often hard to please. If you are the parent of one, you are likely to understand this better than anyone else. Vacationing with your teenager can be an experience, one which you may not always wish to remember. To prevent boredom and an unhappy child, you are encouraged to choose a summer vacation destination that has your teenager in mind.

When selecting a summer vacation destination that has a focus on teens, you should keep your child’s likes and dislikes in mind. When is the best time to go on a family vacation/outing? When is the perfect time to take a break from the hurly burly of the city life? When are you supposed to pause from the long hours of hard work in the office?

The automatic answer would be summer. Well, there is some truth into this statement, especially for those who have kids. When the students are on school vacation, having a summer getaway seems to be a very bright idea. This allows the family to have some bonding and the kids, specifically, to learn a lot of things from their travels. As they say, there is so much learning in traveling.

Unbeknownst to many, you can actually travel anytime. As long as it is planned, even business executives can take a vacation any time of the year. You may apply for a leave of absence, and you can let your kids get permission from their schools. What’s more, you’ll have wide choices of hotels, resorts, and clubs. This is because your destinations will not be fully booked as it is not a usual time for people to take a vacation.

If you are a business executive, it is likely that you will meet acquaintances or clients. In the hotel, you might even meet a would-be client. Amidst the talks in the bar or the walks in the resort, you might bump into someone whom you can do business with. Hence, it is best that you always have a pocket business card holder with you so you can just easily distribute your business cards. A Townsend pen could also come in handy just in case you need to sign or write anything. Cross pens could also make a good impression.

It is believed to be a mortal sin if you mix business with pleasure. Others advise that you should leave all your business concerns like unread emails, pending projects and other employee concerns in the office and just focus on the beautiful scenery and awesome experience ahead of you. Well, they have a valid point. After all, a vacation is not a vacation if you are continuously bugged by office concerns. However, in an age when a big chunk of people’s lives are governed by business matters, this is almost impossible to achieve. Thus, to make things work, you can allow yourself to take care of some business concerns. But this is only when the matter is an emergency or between life and death. Otherwise, it can always wait until you are once again in the confines of your office.

You don’t have to be an experienced traveler to know why getting organized is very important when you are going on a vacation. Now, passport wallets are great to keep valuable items such as your passport, plane or bus tickets together. If you put all that you need in one place, going through check-in lines at airports, bus stations, and seaports will be a breeze. Get a leather travel wallet to keep your documents from getting soaked. Also get one that easily fits in your pocket or in your backpack. You can also keep your cash in your travel wallet too. When you reach your destination, go to the exchange counter to get the local money. To make your wallet cool, use personalized money clips to hold your cash together. Don’t forget to write the contact numbers and the address of the hotel that you will stay in. If you’re renting a car, arrange for it to be picked at the airport. To be sure that all goes well, make the necessary reservations before you leave home. Never hesitate to contact your travel agent if there are problems.

Before you go sight-seeing, it is always good to visit your embassy. Tell them who you are and where you are staying. Write the telephone numbers of your embassy on a piece of paper and put it in your travel wallet. Write the names of the individuals that you need to talk to if you need assistance. Because you might be making a few calls, buy a phone card that will allow you to make international calls. Aside from all the fun, make sure that you’re always secure everywhere you go.

Perhaps, the best part in traveling is going to famous tourist spots and spots. You can always buy a map so that you’d know your way around. Buy tourist brochures to know the best of what the town has to offer. With these brochures you’d know how to get to stores, restaurants, entertainment centers, and novelty shops so that you can buy the round flask that your best friend really likes.

Alaska is a destination that conjures up images of glaciers, mountains, wildlife, blue ice waters-but photos don’t do this cruise destination justice. It has to be experienced. Over the years, the number of cruise lines offering Alaska cruises has grown, with most now offering land tour extensions as well. For the 2007 Alaskan season, even more options exist to explore this incredible destination, with cruise departures now readily available out of Seattle, Vancouver, Seward and Whittier.

The first lines to pioneer the destination, offering both cruises and cruise tours, were Holland America Lines and Princess Cruises. Holland America actually deployed its first ship, the MS Prinsendam, to Alaska in 1975. Royal Caribbean International began offering their first Alaskan cruises in 1990 aboard the Viking Serenade, and Celebrity Cruises followed in 1996. Carnival Cruise Lines also began sailing in Alaska in 1996 with their ship, the Tropicale, roughly half the size of the ship they now have sailing in Alaska.
